March 14

March 14, 2016

It was a pretty slow week. A lot of our lessons fell through. We had 3 or 4 families we were pretty excited for, but now we aren't so sure they are really going to progress. We are still hoping.

I love looking at the families in our branch. They are absolutely wonderful. It's so much fun to see parents with their kids in sacrament meeting. I love kids so much!! They are the best!! They are always so happy, except when they fall down or something and then they cry. It's amazing that usually all it takes is for their mom to pick them up and then it's like the pain vanishes.

Sometimes I get emails from BrookeLynne about the difficulties of having kids (for example potty training). I often see parents here dealing with the same difficulties. It reminds me that we are all people! All the same but different!!. When talking about Heavenly Father's love for us we often ask parents how much they love their children, and then try to explain that Heavenly Father loves us even more than that. We can't even comprehend how much He loves us. There was a talk I read this week from last conference that was way cool. It compared a toddler learning to walk and us learning and growing in this life. You might remember it.
We are all God's children and he loves each one of us more than we can even imagine!

Anyways not much happened this week, though I think I am starting to get a bit better at Malagasy. This week I went on a split with an elder who has been out three weeks and we survived,

Oh and I almost forgot!! Last Monday I ate crocodile, snake, cow heart, and some other weird stuff. Crocodile was by far the best, though I think it's cool that I ate cow heart. I feel like it makes me a bit of a cannibal. Ya know 'cause they used part of a cow heart to fix my heart. Anyways, ...hope that doesn't gross you out.

Well that's about all I got. It looks like I'm going to a lemur park today, so maybe next week I'll have a lot of pictures of lemurs.

We did a lot of walking this week, so word of the week is mandeha togotra which literally means to go by legs or in other words walk.

Love Elder Corey Smithson
